"I have been a fan of Brian's work for many years. So being able to work with him, has been illuminating and inspiring. For me, finding excitement for a project is the biggest hurdle sometimes, and Brian seems to have an unending well of love and joy for the craft that is contagious. His connection to breath and body is a game changer for me, as that's such a powerful 'in' to character. He brings so much presence to the moment with his students."

"At Railtown Actors Studio, I feel like I’ve finally found a home to study at when I’m in Vancouver  Brian and his Railtown scene study class are magic. His enthusiasm for teaching and for the craft of acting is infectious. He is a consummate professional and a joy to work with. He does what the best teachers do: shows you not what to see but where to look."

Sarah-Jane Redmond  Actor. (view credits on IMDb.com)

"I have enjoyed thus far a successful career in film and television, but longed to go back to my theatre roots.  I missed the passion and excitement and rush I felt when diving into a play, exploring the rich characters, and the safety of a place where you can make mistakes and reach the depths that feel so cathartic. When a spot came up in Brian Markinson's class at Railtown Actors Studio, I leapt at it. I don't know why I waited so long to go back to doing something that is so incredibly rewarding! Brian's wealth of knowledge, experience, passion, and heart are enormous and I am very fortunate to have this opportunity, I feel inspired again, and I remember why I started this journey of becoming an 'actor'. Railtown's environment and enrollment was top notch, and it makes me feel like I'm in the theatre district in New York. I had forgotten my roots, and I am so very glad to be back!  Thank-you to Brian and Railtown Actor's Studio."
