Carmel Amit is an award winning Israeli/ Canadian actress, teacher, coach and director. She received her formal theatre training at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NY and has since continued to train in other theatre practices and performance modalities.
Carmel has worked with directors Ang Lee, Peter Farrelly, Kenny Ortega, and Jason Priestley and has appeared on screen opposite actors Nicolas Cage, Josh Duhamel, Nick Swardson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Micky Summer, Devon Sawa and Cybil Shepard. Some of Carmel’s tv and film credits include Virgin River, You Me Her, Ghost Wars, Somewhere Between and Mistresses. In 2020, she received a Leo Award for her supporting role in the Lifetime movie, To Have and to Hold. Carmel has been featured on many major networks including Paramount, Warner Bros., USA Network, HBO, CW, ABC, SyFy, CBS, CTV, TNT, Netflix, Hallmark, and Lifetime.
Carmel also directs theatre and enjoys pushing traditional performance expectations. Her theory in life is to “Move towards the things that scare you. They hold the potential for immense growth.”
