Originally from the UK, Janet trained at the National Theatre of Great Britain before continuing her studies in Canada at UBC and Studio 58. Since then she has enjoyed a diverse career in Theatre, Film and Television across Canada and in the United Kingdom spanning 30 years. Relocating to Toronto, Janet landed a leading role in the CBC series Tom Stone, earning her a Gemini nomination for best actress. Janet also had the privilege of debuting the role of “Loretta” in the esteemed play “Featuring Loretta” by George F Walker. Shortly afterwards, she travelled back to London England to debut another new play, “The Private Room”, directed by Debra Hauer. On Janet's return to Vancouver, she has continued to explore the human psyche in all of her roles.
Other earlier credits include co-starring roles on “The Bride Of Chucky”, “Made in Canada”, “Earth Final Conflict”, “The X-Files”, “La Femme Nikita” and many more. Selected recent credits include co-starring on the award-winning historical series “Little Bird”; co-starring opposite Stanley Tucci and Jessica Biel in “Limetown”; villain “Osyraa” on Star Trek Discovery; “Man In The High Castle”; “Arrow”; “Supernatural”; “The Killing”, “Ring Of Fire” which earned her a nomination for best supporting actress; feature film “ Words and Pictures” co-starring with Juliette Binoche.
