Carmel’s class focuses on expanding the actor's physical, vocal and emotional range as well as fine-tuning their awareness of space and time as it relates to performance.

Her practice is an amalgamation of the Grotowski method, Viewpoint training and somatic movement practices. Working with monologues through a variety of exercises and games, participants will learn to access their instinct animal brain. They will learn to identify and follow impulse, allowing them to work with what is happening in real time from moment to moment.

This class will strengthen the actor's body/mind/space connection, nurturing their ability to live and perform more fully, and with a richer understanding of themselves.

Curiosity, play and experimentation are at the core of Carmel's ethos.
